LISA CIESNIEWSKI

HOME BASE: VENTURA, CA USA

Lisa grew up in La Cañada/Flintridge California within earshot of the Flintridge Riding Club. As a horse obsessed child she spent most of her days at the barn riding and hanging out with horses. Fortunate to live in an area with access to top hunter/jumper trainers, and quality rated shows, she rode and competed extensively on the west coast under the guidance of trainers Susan Holden, DiAnn Langer and Randy Durand. During which time she competed in the hunter, jumper and equitation divisions winning multiple championships and top medal finals placing. In 1992 Lisa received the LAHSA Sportsmanship of the Year Award, and in 1998 she won the California State Medal Finals aboard Incognito, owned by Mary Luck.

Turning in 1999 to focus on college, Lisa attended the University of San Diego, and began working for Mike and Christa Endicott of Pegasus Show Stables as an Assistant Trainer and Financial Manager. After graduating in May of 2001 with a BBA in Business Administration with a marketing and entrepreneurial emphasis, Lisa spent six months traveling around the southern-hemisphere. Since graduating Lisa has remained involved in the hunter jumper industry as a catch rider and competitor, as well as an equine sales agent, marketing consultant and website/media designer. Lisa has worked alongside a long list of top show jumping professionals developing and promoting horses, riders and equine related businesses.

Dark Horse Farms enables Lisa to follow her true passion of developing and campaigning equine athletes.
